We found a pretty cool tool on the US Geological Survey site that offers a real time water meter for Lake Lanier. If you were wondering at what point we hit the dregs, it is around 1035 feet. We supposedly have 76 days until we start drinking the dreggified water--which puts us around Groundhog Day. That groundhog is going to be delicious.
