This latest drought article from the AJC talks about how as the water level of the Georgia lakes gets more and more shallow, the greater amount of chemicals are going to have to be added to the water to make it potable. The reason is that as the lakes get more shallow, a greater amount of sediment and metals can get mixed in. The best part of it all is that the sediment and metals are giving our water different shades--like black, brown, or green. When reached for comment, Kool Aid Man commented "Oh Yeah!"
